Apply to Hillel Torah

When to Apply

 

Hillel Torah encourages families to begin the application process as early as possible. The preferred application deadline is January 24, 2021. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a space available basis. A non-refundable fee of $100 must be submitted with each application.

 

Creating an Online Application

 

To begin the Online Application process, please begin by Creating an Account. Once completed you can log into your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account to access your open application.

 

After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging into your account. There you will be able to print the completed applications, monitor when the school receives supplemental application forms, and if necessary reprint the supplemental forms.

 

Additional Requirements and Forms  

 

Getting to know your child -

Early Childhood

  • Submit the Early Childhood Teacher Recommendation Form by February 8, 2021

-- Help us get to know your child by providing their current teacher with our recommendation form. 2021 Early Childhood Teacher Recommendation Form

  • We are excited to visit your child in their current school/preschool program- January/February (if possible)
    -- We will visit each child at their current preschool to observe how they interact in a group setting, providing us with insight about their readiness skills and helps us understand the makeup of the incoming class.
     
  • Schedule your child’s “playdate” with us at the school- February/March (if possible)
    -- We look forward to getting to know your child and provide an opportunity for them to visit our classrooms.

Grades 1-8

  • Submit transcripts and teacher recommendation forms - February 8, 2021

 

  • Applicants will be considered for admission after careful review of their school records, report cards, teacher recommendations and standardized test scores.

  • Schedule an interview and assessment for your child- March

-- An interview with the Principal, Directors of General and Judaic studies or the Student Services department will be required before a transfer student can be considered for admission.

 

Acceptance Decisions

 

April- Acceptance notification

April/May – Please confirm your child’s space within two weeks of acceptance by submitting your online contract along with the enrollment deposit of $500 (which is applied toward tuition).
